Catalog views
A guide to configuring and managing Catalog Views for product visibility.
Introduction
A Catalog View represents a restricted subset of products variants configured for specific customer accounts. It restricts product visibility by applying personalized rules that control which product variants are displayed to end users.
Catalog restrictions enable:
- Restricting access to certain products based on customer accounts or segments.
- Creating tailored shopping experiences for different types of customers.
- Efficiently managing product display without modifying the main catalog structure.
ImportantCatalog views are managed at the variant level. When you create or edit a catalog view, what you add are specific variants.
To make navigation easier, the Back Office offers two ways to view your Catalog view:
The Variant View displays each variant individually.
The Product View groups variants by their parent product, allowing you to see how each product’s variants are represented in the catalog view.
Catalog View configurations
Catalog content selection
There are two types of Catalog Views:
- Products selection – product variants are added manually.
- Rules edition – visibility is automatically managed using predefined filtering rules.
A Catalog View cannot combine manual product selection and rule-based configuration.
Linking accounts
Each Catalog View can be associated with one or more customer accounts, which represent the commercial entities (for example, B2B customers or partners) accessing the platform.
This association defines which catalog is exposed to which customers. When a user belonging to one of these customer accounts logs in, they only see the product variants included in the associated Catalog View, ensuring a controlled and personalized catalog experience.
Catalog view management
Catalog View content management varies depending on the chosen configuration type.
