Catalog Views
Introduction
A Catalog View is a restricted view of products intended for specific customer accounts. It allows filtering and personalizing the products displayed to users.
Catalog restrictions enable:
- Restricting access to certain products based on customer accounts or segments.
- Creating tailored shopping experiences for different types of customers.
- Efficiently managing product display without modifying the main catalog structure.
Characteristics
A catalog restriction is defined by:
- Name: A clear title to identify the catalog restriction.
- Description: An explanation of the scope and use of the catalog restriction.
- External ID: A unique identifier without spaces or accents, allowing reference to the catalog restriction in the API.
- Dynamic rules: Enables filtering displayed products based on defined criteria.
- Manual product list: Manual selection of products to include.
- Association with accounts: A catalog restriction is always linked to one or more customer accounts.
⚠️ It is not possible to combine both dynamic rules and manual product selection.
